YOU ARE SO SPECIAL

Loaves and Fishes and Soup Kitchen Ministry

The feeding ministry is available every Tuesday and Thursday
from 11am to 1pm @ CCJ.

Mission Statement
            Our Mission is two-fold:

 Matthew 14:19-20

“Ordering the multitudes to recline on the grass, Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He blessed the food, and breaking the loaves He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes, and they all ate, and were satisfied.”

 Matthew 25:35-36

“For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.”

Our Mission is to make available the place and the resources for the disciples of Jesus to meet the needs of those who are less fortunate in a setting of acceptance with dignity and an extended hand of friendship. With food and fellowship, it is our desire to offer up nourishment for the body and soul seeking those who are lost and encouraging those who are struggling.  In so doing, we will raise up disciples for Jesus who will push away from the table, take up their aprons and in a cycle of love and joy will serve those in need with compassion and hope.

 Our Philosophy

1.      God has provided for all of our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  We are but the conduit of that provision to those who are poor financially and spiritually.

2.      With an attitude of serving, we chose to provide food and comfort to those in need with respect and dignity not judging or condemning anyone but fairly and consistently reaching out in love to bring light and hope to a dark world.

3.      Everyone has a purpose.  By providing the means and opportunity to serve others, we open doors to people to experience the true joy that comes with reaching out to those who are less fortunate.

4.      Jesus is the answer to every need.  By sharing the Good News with the lost and hurting, we provide nourishment for the soul that will far outlast the food for the body.
